Where it went through the years...
How it all started back in 2021....
The crafty business started with a desire to make gifts or fun things for others. That was the spark, but the creativity started to flow out as there were more ideas than time. Now, I have a craft studio dedicated to my passion, and from there Vinyl Pix Studio was born. I also have a certification in photography, so there is a slight play on words should I pick up the lens again. Either way, I am here to create as many items as I can, and to bring them to you! I hope that you enjoy them as much as I do because everything is made with love and care. Thanks for reading, and I invite you to read about the next couple of years below!
Growing through 2022
2022 was a year of growth, and with that came some growing pains. My set up at shows didn't allow for the amount of shadowboxes that I wanted to display, so I kept changing it until I found what worked for me.
I also moved into a local shop who displayed my creations for customers to enjoy and purchase. The business was definitely booming!
Soaring in 2023
2023 allowed me to grow beyond my expectations. From large craft shows to an abundancy of orders, the year was shaping up to be the best one yet!
My goal of hitting 1,000 designs came so close in 2023, but finally came true shortly after the new year of 2024. I also reached my goal of having more than 800 color choices for customers in various textures and sizes as well. The end of the year also saw a different avenue than before with the addition of a new computer that would allow me to customize my designs from actual photos of customer's pets, especially their dogs. While this goal has not yet been achieved, 2024 is a year to soar and no better statement can describe what is to come than the words of Marilyn Monroe when she said, "The sky is not the limit. Your mind is."
Rising Up in 2024
2024 has been a year of growth! This was the year that larger markets were added, including outdoor mega shows, and a branching out of the norm. I also designed some exclusive pieces to set myself apart from the pack, which I love doing when the time allows.
In May, I began holding Make & Take Classes (workshops) where the guests assemble a design that they will take with them at the end of the class. This experience has been very rewarding as well as humbling to watch the guest's excitement when they see their finished piece. In fact, there were eight locations during the peak in 2024, with more being added going into 2025.
Also, 2025 will see an added "Making with Michele" Cricut class being offered as both in-person or as a virtual option as well. Guests will learn how to use materials such as vinyl. cardstock, faux leather, and more! Plus, there will be several tips and tricks that are highly beneficial to time management and supply retention.
